The courts hold four termseach year, and these sessions are the means of drawing manypeople from Flat River and the surrounding mining region tothe town. Litigation, which is considerable, and the generalsettlement of estates, county court settlements, and othercourt proceedings usually necessitate the attendance of manypeople from the lead district.
