The courts hold four termseach year, and these sessions are the means of drawing manypeople from Flat River and the surrounding mining region tothe town. Litigation, which is considerable, and the generalsettlement of estates, county court settlements, and othercourt proceedings usually necessitate the attendance of manypeople from the lead district. Quite a little travel is causedby the presence of the State Hospital for the Insane, which is. .\ BETWEEN AND FLATSHOWING HEAVY BALLAST RIVER located on the road between De Lassus and Farmington, andcontains 400 inmates.
