Taormina, Sicily, Italy - 20 September 2019 Due to its subtropical climate, diverse topography and many microclimates, Sicily houses a wide range of plant types - these range from temperate and Mediterranean through to subtropical and tropical. Here we see some beautiful abstract patterns, textures and shapes of a pine tree bark, spotted in Taormina, on the West coast of the island facing the Ionian Sea to the West of the Island.
