Garrett Willat performs aerobatic maneuvers in a Grob G-103 Acro sailplane during “Sailplane Magic,” the name of his performance at the 2017 Marine Corps Air Station Miramar Air Show at MCAS Miramar, Calif., Sept. 23. The theme for the air show is “A Salute to Vietnam Veterans” and features several performances and displays recognizing the sacrifices of Vietnam veterans. The air show provides visitors the opportunity to see Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Army and civilian aircraft spanning 70 years as well as allows for guests to take a firsthand look at Marine Corps tactical equipment.
