Troller's Gill is ravine at the head of Trollerdale near Skyreholme and the village of Appletreewick the Yorkshire Dales.

According to legend this sinister little narrow limestone gorge is the haunt the terrifying spectral hound of Craven and which may have even been the inspiration for Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes story "The Hound of the Baskervilles". The nooks, caves and crannies of Troller's Gill are also said to be the home of Scandinavian trolls and other nasty evil sprites. Near the head of the gill there are a series of disused mine workings as well as natural caves and potholes - including the ominously named "Hell Hole"
