Masonry (mortar) bee damage to a crumbling brick wall in an old 17th C house in England. White framed window and hanging basket with red geranium.

The old brickwork on this home is spalling, or delaminating, and the erosion is increased by the masonry bees that burrow into it. As other walls at this house are fine, it would appear that a poor quality of brick might have been used in this hidden section.
