The motifs are connected by a mesh ground, a diamond-shaped Valenciennes ground. The full work is largely made in linen stroke with cut-outs and openwork edges and partly in net stroke. Snowflakes and loose snowflakes were used as ornamental ground. The top of the strip is finished with a separately clotted strap.
