Specimens from the West Int'Ios exhibit the same variations in the extent of black on the forehead, and in tlie color of the super- ciliary stripe, as North American. The portion of this stripe luitcrior to the eye is sometimes white, sonietimos bright yellow, iiml sometimes a mixture of the two; but I am entirely unable to ijase a second species upon such diversities.
