It would. be as good for a font or a fountain; as beau-tiful in the centre of a table as the centreof the lawn; and, by the same reasoning, awine-cooler would be quite as good for aflower-pot. As an instance of this, let usselect from the Art Journal one or two morecuts to illustrate this position. What can be more elegant, when well filledwith a well-grown plant, than a well-propor-tioned ornamental pot; and be it remembered,that the design for anything may be alteredin proportions to suit any subject withoutessentially altering its character. One of thefollowing designs would be excellent for aflower-pot, whether shortened a little, or usedin its present form, or modified in any way.
