Geminid meteor shower and Moon, Tenerife. Time-exposure, fish-eye lens image of meteor trails and the Moon in the night sky over Teide Observatory and Teide volcano. The Geminids are a meteor shower that occurs annually in December. It is caused by debris from an object named 3200 Phaethon, thought to be an extinct comet. Photographed on 13 December 2016, on Tenerife in the Canary Islands.
