Even the 1 irge outer leaves are quite tender, and the inner ones are much more so. and are also well blanched. This is one of the best and most po])ular varieties for market gardeners, it is attractive, of excellent quality, and continues a long time in condition for Cincinnati The radisb so much grown by the Cincinnati market gardeners, and is the handsomest long variety in culti- vation. It is a beautiful glossy scar- let, with a very small top, and grows from six to seven inchs-s long. The skin is very thin, and the flesh crisp and brittle, and of a delightful jiuii- gent quality.
