Mani stones and praying wheels at a Buddhist Monastery in Ladakh India
The praying wheels and the Mani stones are a common sight at the Buddhist Monasteries. The Mani stones are stone plates carved or inscribed with mantras, and the prayer wheel is a cylindrical wheel on a spindle made from metal, wood, stone, leather. Om Mani Padme Hum is usually inscribed on the outside of the wheel.
