Bristol, UK. 6th Feb, 2018. The centenary of the Representation of the People Act 1918 which gave women over 30 the right to vote was celibrated tonight with a lantern parade through Bristol. Around a 1000 people turned out on a wet, snowy February night, many brought home made lanterns. Slogans promoting equal rights and pay were on many of the lanterns, reflecting that full equal rights still have to be fought for. Giant sufragette puppets,drums and a band added to the celebration.
