The Pollachar Stone on the island of South Uist in the Outer Hebrides.

The Pollachar standing stone on South Uist is thought to date from the 3rd millennium BC and may have indicated an ancient landing site. The stone was overturned at some time in the past and then re-erected. It stands close to the shore and consists of an irregular prism shape about 5'8" (173 cms) high and with a girth of 5'9" (175 cms) at the base.
