Digitalis purpurea is a native European woodland plant with spikes of tubular flowers with a spotted throat. Digitalis purpurea ‘Alba’ is a delightful white-flowered foxglove. It self-seeds freely and will quickly naturalise in the garden. Its blooms are extremely attractive to bumblebees.
