The account given by his friend, Dr. Nichols of how Eglington could materialize spirits in full daylight, from a cloud of white vapour, to full, white-sheathed figures, which would appear quite normal in their behaviour and speech, but then disappear just as rapidly as they had come, is said to be among the strangest accounts of the history of an account of Eglington's early achievements, see John S.
