First, the veritablevault from which the Havana remains were taken;then, separated from it by a slab of stone less than a MORE ABOUT SANTO DOMINGO 131 foot in width, yet another, close to the cathedral this latter was taken a leaden casket in goodpreservation, on the cover or lid of which was an in-scription showing that it was, in truth, dedicated tothe First Admiral and Discoverer of inscription was on the outside; inside the lid.
