The stone was formally laid by the new church was dedicated October 12, 1913. The daywas one of those most beautiful autumnal days which are sodelightful in all these higher regions of the Alleghany Mountains,but so seldom enjoyed by the inhabitants of the lower lands ofthe country. Services connected with the dedication were held three timesduring the day. The dedicatory sermon was preached by theRev. C. B.
