The Queen Elizabeth 2, QE2, off Port Glasgow, Firth of Clyde, Scotland

The QE2 off Port Glasgow. The last Queen, which was built by John Brown Engineering at Clydebank, returned to the Clyde in 1990. Lyle Hill in Greenock was lined with spectators for her arrival. The Erskine Bridge did not exist when she was launched. This bridge now meant there was insufficient clearance and the ship did not sail further up the Clyde than Greenock.
