The passenger cars are the semi-convertible single-truck type,22 ft. between the corner posts and 30 ft. over the car seats 32 people, has 16 rattan reversible double crossseats, arranged for center aisle. In the newer cars the lasttwo seats at each end are placed lengthwise so as to affordfreer space at the doors. The body is made of native hardwoods, including mahogany, majagua, sabicu, ocuje, acana andcedar, all splendid woods. The trucks are McGuire A-6. The. The shops are well equipped with machine tools and includealso a Devine-Passburg vacuum drying and impregnating ma-chine. The company buildsits own car bodies and manufactures many of the supply re-pair parts for the cars, including field coils, some armaturecoils, etc. A card system wherein is recorded the mileage ofthe cars and the constituent parts has proved a valuable help inselecting supply materials and suggesting improvements in de-tails of the construction.
