On April20, 1861, word came informing him theBattery had been ordered to at once left his work, proceeded toliis home, donned his uniform and reportedat the armory at Mustered inMay 18. Mustered out, August 2. On July 11, 1864, the Regiment formedwhat was known as the Eleventh Battalion,and he remained with that organization
