Brenner tumour of the ovary. Light micrograph of a section through an ovary showing a Brenner tumour (green). This rare benign (non-cancerous) tumour arises from the surface epithelial cells of the ovary. Although they are usually asymptomatic, Brenner tumours are often surgically removed because very occasionally they become malignant (cancerous). Magnification: x150 when printed at 10 centimetres wide. Human tissue.
