Also ten little ones, wearingcrowns, with beautiful stars on them, went through astar-drill. They all carried red lighted candles; andthe effect was charming. The tree was a genuine pine-tree; handsomely deco-rated, and well laden with gifts for all. We could scarcely realize then we were in China;but as we walked through the Chinese streets on ourway home, we became conscious once more that wewere in the Middle Boys* School and Teachers, Kinhwa
