Amikacin antibiotic drug, molecular model

Amikacin drug molecule. Ball-and-stick molecular model of amikacin, an aminoglycoside antibiotic. It is mostly used as a last-resort treatment of multidrug-resistant Gram-negative bacteria. For example, it may be used in the treatment of joint infections, meningitis, pneumonia, sepsis, and urinary tract infections (UTIs). Its chemical formula is C22H43N5O13. Atoms are represented as spheres with conventional colour coding: hydrogen (white), carbon (black), oxygen (red), and nitrogen (blue).
