Plate late 14th–early 15th century Spanish Much early Manisan lusterware was influenced by Islamic designs introduced from Andalucía by immigrant Mudéjar or converted Muslim craftsmen. The central design of this plate is a typical Islamic interlocking star pattern, surrounded by Kufic and pseudo-Kufic script. The back of the plate is emblazoned with a large eagle Plate 468520
