A root of three orfour years planted will send up a number of strong shoots that climbrapidly to a height of 30 or 40 feet. These shoots branch freelyfrom the ground up, forming a perfect network of strong branches,covered with large deep green, heart-shaped leaves, which overlapeach other, forming a dense screen.
