Ceramic poppies in the moat of the Tower of London forming the commemorative art installation “Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red” which has been visited over the weeks building up to Armistice Day by tens of thousands of visitors, part of a major commemorative event marking Armistice Day in London, UK Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red, marking the centenary of the outbreak of the First World War. Created by ceramic artist Paul Cummins, with setting by stage designer Tom Piper, 888,246 ceramic poppies will progressively fill the Tower's famous moat.
