At the California Science Center in Los Angeles, curious boys place their hands on a plasma globe to attract colored light filaments that radiate from a high-voltage electrode in the center of the sphere to its glass exterior. Besides enjoying its many hands-on scientific exhibits, young and old visitors have the opportunity to view the Space Shuttle Endeavour that was retired and put on display at the center in Exposition Park in 2012.
