The Market. ' Market conditions are better, the sup- ply of cut flowers having become much heavier, and where there was a scarcity, now there is a plenty. The demand for chrysanthemums has increased, while the flowers are of much better quality. Blooming mum plants now are plentiful. Koses of fine quality are arriving, the quantity exceeding the demand. Prices of roses have dropped slightly. Carna- tions have improved in quality, but the supply is still short. Lilies meet only a small demand. Various Notes. W. J. Barnes had a big week in fu- neral work, the sales being about three times the normal. Mr. Barnes used every palm, fern and decorative plant he had in a big wedding decoration last week. Many of the local florists participated in the Liberty bond parade last week. Mrs. Fred Fromholdt underwent a serious operation last week, but despite lier weakened condition was taken liome, as her mother was not expected to live. Peter Martin has started propagating liis geranium stock for spring sales. His mums and ferns are looking good. William Foith has more than half his pstalalishment planted to carnations.
