New Climbing Rose, " Crim- son ; Perhaps no hardy rose has ever created such a furore in the horticultural world as this ; among other very flattering testi- monials it was awarded the Gold Medal at the Antwerp Exhibition for the best new plant introduced in 1808. It is of vigorous growth, making shoots from 8 to 10 feet long in one season, and is conse- quently a desirable climber, while when pegged down as a bush, mar- velous flowering results are attained. As a decorative pot plant it is un- surpassed. The flowers with which the plant is covered in spring are produced in immense trusses of a pyramidal form, are double, and of the brightest crimson color.
