Town of Wallasey, England. Picturesque view of brightly coloured benches on New Brighton promenade, with Fort Perch Rock in the distant background. The River Mersey and red cranes at Seaforth Container Terminal, are also in the distant background. Fort Perch Rock was constructed on the Mersey estuary as a coastal defence battery during the 1820’s. The fort was decommissioned in 1954 and is now a museum and visitor attraction.
