In order to arrive at a satisfactoryresult, the most characteristic, strongest-featured face ought to be taken first, andthe others in declining succession. Ifthe faces to be combined should be of asimilar texture, as in the case of a num-ber of young ladies, then the exposureshould be duly proportioned ; that of thefirst receiving the longest time.
