A late 19th century view of Blarney House in Blarney, County Cork, Ireland. Members of the Jefferyes family built a large house near the 15th-century castle-keep. It was destroyed by fire and, in 1874, a replacement mansion, built in a Scottish baronial-style by John Lanyon of Lanyon, Lynn and Lanyon architects, overlooking a nearby lake.
