A pair of flintlock pistols, Bohemia, presumably Karlsbad around 1760. Outstanding barrels with etched damascus structure and raised, silver-inlaid, oriental script between decorative lines. The breeches have flats on the sides. The muzzles slightly swamped. The silver front sights surrounded by plant decoration. Smooth bores in 16 mm calibre. High-quality, lightly chiselled, waterproof locks with banana lock plates. Walnut stocks with carved vine decoration and silver furniture. The ramrods may be replacements. Lengths cm.
