Brilliant-thighed poison frog, Epipedobates femoralis. This frog, native to the Amazonian rainforest, is related to the arrow-poison frogs used by Amazonian Indians to obtain poison for blowpipe darts. A diurnal (active during the day) inhabitant of the forest floor, it is less poisonous than its deadly relatives. Photographed in Ecuador.
