Prior to New Year's Eve visitors to Times Square in New York on Monday, December 28, 2009 are given the opportunity to shred their bad memories during the third annual Good Riddance Day. The Times Square Alliance set up an industrial strength shredder so that old mortgages, bills, love letters or anything else that leaves a bad taste in your mouth can be discarded before 2010 starts.
