Early summer evening on the Promenade des Anglais in Nice on the Côte d'azur. The Promenade des Anglais has its origin in the 18th century when wealthy English visitors arranged for a promenade to be constructed along the coast. This was further developed by the locals and was eventually named La Promenade des Anglais. Flanked by a pebble beach on one side and a busy road and hotels parks and casinos on the other the promenade is popular with locals and visitors alike.
