Improved Green Curled. Leaves finely fringed, of a bright green color, tender and crisp. Pkt. 5 cts., oz. 15c. White Curled (self-blanching). Aubergine, Fr. Beregena, Si>. One ounce will produce about one thousand plants. Sow tho seed in hot beds early in February. When 3 inches high pot the young , small pots, and plunge them in tho same bed, bo that the plants may be- come stocky. They can be planted out, from the pots, when tho season becomes sufficiently warm, in April or M ay Egg-plant seed will not vegetate freely without a strong uniform heat, and if the plants get the least chilled in the earlier stages of growth they seldom recover. Therefore repeated sowings are sometimes necessary. Care should he observed in cutting tho fruit so as not to disturb the roots of the plants. Early Long Purple.
