An ornate clock on the top facade of St Peter Basilica in Vatican City, Rome, Italy.


There are two clocks on top of the facade of St. Peter's Basilica. They were made by G. Valadier and installed in 1786. The clock on left side displays the time in Rome and strikes on the quarter hour, half hour, and on the hour on six bells. The clock on the right-hand side of the top of the facade displays Greenwich Mean Time.
