The Greenstone Church was built in 1882 by industrialist George Pullman in his town of Pullman, near Chicago. The church was designed by architect Solon Beman and has a façade made of greenstone quarried in Pennsylvania. Chicago's Pullman neighborhood has been gentrifying since the end of the 20th century. Many residents are involved in the restoration of their own homes and in projects throughout the neighborhood. Chicago, Illinois, United States
