Military Working Dog (MWD) Szana receives updated vaccines, a dental cleaning and blood analysis as part of a pre-deployment exam for an upcoming deployment to Djibouti, at the veterinary clinic onboard Naval Support Activity Naples, Italy, July 24, 2018. Master at Arms 3rd Class John Migdal, Szana’s military handler, assists Army Capt. Kate Fodor and her veterinary team in accomplishing the exam. Handlers maintain a strong bond with their MWD by always remaining by their side unless they are boarding in a military approved kennel.
