His fame, ow-ing to such heralds as Efrem Zimbalist, MischaElman, Kathleen Parlow, Eddy Brown, Fran-cis MacMillan, and more recently SaschaHeifetz, Toscha Seidel, and Max Rosen, hadlong since preceded him; and the reception ac-corded him in this country, as a soloist and oneof the greatest exponents and teachers of hisinstrument, has been one justly due to his au-thority and preeminence.
