A stone surving from a double row/avenue leading NE from the Great Circle at the Neolithic ceremonial complex of Stanton Drew, Bath & NE Somerset, UK.

One of the stones surving from a double row/avenue leading NE from the Great Circle at the Neolithic ceremonial complex of Stanton Drew, Bath & NE Somerset, England, UK. There are two avenues, a Cove, & three stone circles on a bent NE-SSW axis. Alignments & sightlines pass through them to other monuments & major movements of the moon. The central Great Circle contained nine concentric circles of large wooden posts & stood within a ditched enclosure with an entrance at the NE. The stones are traditionally known as the Weddings after a group of guests were turned to stone for partying on into the Sabbath.
