The spelling throughout has been modernized, though propernames have been given as they stand in the manuscript. The same remark may-be made regarding the names of the monks and nuns in the appendix. Thiswill account possibly for such variations as Belasyse and Bellasyse, KennetKennett, Middelton and Middleton, and similar cases.
