ATLANTIC OCEAN (Dec. 2, 2016) Petty Officer 3rd Class Jerome Gordon directs an F/A-18E Super Hornet, assigned to the Flying Eagles of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA 122), onto a catapult during flight operations aboard the aircraft carrier USS George Washington (CVN 73). George Washington, homeported in Norfolk, is underway conducting carrier qualifications in the Atlantic Ocean.
