An Airman from the Ellsworth Air Force Base Honor Guard team steps into the ring during the Battle of the Badges competition hosted at The Box Events Center Jan. 13, 2024, in Rapid City, South Dakota. Opening in 2023, the Box Elder Events Center is the Midwest’s newest state-of-of-the-art facility with professional DMX audio-visual technology, a full-service catering kitchen, and over 60,000 square feet of event space.
