It should be stated that the departure from parallel-ism between the cables going from the sheaves at thetop of the piston rod of the ram cylinder and the pistonrod, as appearing in one of the photographs, was foundto cause chattering of the piston rod when nearly has been remedied since taking the photographsby installing two idler sheaves at the top of the ram.
