There is a single track over this bridge and so, toprevent the possibility of an interurban train and alocal street car from meeting on the bridge, a simpleblock system has been installed. It consists of a box atthe commencement of the embankments at either endof the bridge, in which is a switch. The throwing ofthese switches cause a danger signal to show at theopposite end from the switch thrown. A diagram ofthis switch is herewith reproduced.
