It was in 1872 that he pur-chased the Brookville National Bank,which was conducted by the Doctor andhis son Charles F., when it went into voluntary liquidation, and they organ-ized the present Brookville Bank and closed up the business of the they conducted until the Doctors life labors were ended. May 3, was also interested in farming, owning five hundred acres of land fourmiles east of Brookville, which tract had been entered from the governmentbv liis father-in-law.
