Partially dislocated shoulder joint. Torso of a 19 year old man showing a partial dislocation (subluxation) of the acromioclavicular (AC) joint in his right shoulder (seen at left). Subluxation is where the bones of a joint move out of alignment, often with damage to surrounding soft tissue. This subluxation was caused by a snowboarding accident. The clavicle will be manipulated back into position and the joint will be rested to allow the ligaments and other soft tissues to heal.
