Lindisfarne Castle on Holy Island, off the Northumberland coast in the north east of England. The island is reached by a causeway which is covered by the sea at high tide. Originally built in the 16th century, it was remodelled as a holiday home in the early 20th century and is now owned by the National Trust. It is seen here from the village across sheep pasture.
